About the Department

The Department of Information was established in 2005 and offers Bachelor in Engineering in IT. The department has well trained staff that offers teaching and learning with well-equipped computer laboratories. Excellence is the hallmark of all that is taught by a well –qualified faculty.

IT is an exciting and evolving field that offers many and varied career opportunities. IT curriculum includes advanced courses on Artificial Intelligence, Data warehousing & Mining, Big-data Analytics , image processing along with core computer subjects like Data structures, operating systems and DBMS .

This degree provides students with an excellent preparation both for graduate study in IT and for employment. Our major recruiters include Tech-mahindra, Mastek, L&T infotech, Infosys, Accenture ,Capgemini , Amazon and many more.

The Jesuit tradition emphasizes excellence as a level to be reached in study and employment . The department of IT continues this noble tradition.

The laboratories in the department have the latest machine configuration and full internet access enabling the students to perform the experiments with ease. We have some proprietary software and encourage the students to use open source tools wherever possible.

Vision

To nurture the joy of excellence in the world of Information Technology.

Mission

  • To develop the critical thinking ability of students by promoting interactive learning.
  • To bridge the gap between industry and institute and give students the kind of exposure to the industrial requirements in current trends of developing technology.
  • To promote learning and research methods and make them excel in the field of their study by becoming responsible while dealing with social concerns.
  • To encourage students to pursue higher studies and provide them awareness on various career opportunities that are available.

Program Educational Objective (PEO)
